For Womens History Month we are having a workshop celebrating Mexican American Artist Yvette Mayorga.

In this workshop, students will learn how to make sculptural cake paintings inspired by Yvette Mayorga a Mexican American artist who makes decadent paintings and sculptures using cake-decorating techniques inspired by her immigrant parents' desires for the American dream. Using air-dry clay, students will reflect on their goals and how they can adorn their cakes to reflect their aspirations.

This is a CLAY workshop and it will NOT BE EDIBLE.

Workshop will take place at Magic Johnson Park Sunday, March 12th at 10 AM

This workshop is FREE and open to ALL girls and gender nonconforming youth and teens in Compton, Willowbrook, Watts, Gardena and surrounding neighborhoods.
