We had our first in-person meeting since quarantine began May 7th, and it was a fun one.

The group met with Cafe Con Azucar, Founder and creator Marlene to learn about the art and hustle of creating t-shirts. Marlene’s T-shirts are centered around activism and addressing Anti-Blackness in the Latinx community.

This workshop was completely hands-on! We had to find designs, upload them into special software, print them out on vinyl, and then use an actual industrial heat press to fuse our graphics onto tees and even handbags.
