Compton G.IRLS Club and Mae Jones at The Row DTLA
(Article originally published 10.18.20)
On October 5th Compton G.IRLS Club took a field trip to The Row in DTLA to have a photography workshop hosted by Mae Jones Magazine.
The group was given disposable film cameras and even got their photos developed and scanned by the Director and Creator of the magazine.
This was a unique experience for the members because some of them have never even used a disposable camera! New generation! They were able to learn about photography and experience a new neighborhood and environment.
The group also has a unique lunch from Pikunico which is a Japanese fried chicken restaurant. They had the opportunity to try unique dishes like vegetable curry, matcha cookies and of course.. Japanese fried chicken!
All safety precautions were taken. Mask, sanitizers, large van, and temperature checks before leaving.
Check out some of the photos that the girls took!
