Cyber G.IRL 2026 Applications are OPEN!
Applications are now open for our coding cohort “Cyber G.IRL.”
This 9-week program teaches young people to create a digital magazine from start to finish, including coding, graphic design, and journalism, all done by the group.
We are partnering with The Hidden Genius Project to learn coding, Hunnibuzz to learn graphic design and art direction, and OurWatts Bookshop to create articles, poems, and stories for the digital magazine.
Grants cover the cost of this experience, so you only have to worry about showing up and staying committed.
All meals, materials, and transportation will be provided free of charge to youth.
This opportunity is open to YOUTH and TEENS, ages 13-18. All girls and gender-nonconforming youth from Compton, Watts, Willowbrook, and surrounding HOODS are invited to apply.
There will be an in-person interview that you MUST attend to be considered.
Applications are due April 1st at 11:59PM
In-person interviews will take place on April 11th.
